This elaborate world map is a custom made wallpaper mural, printed on Type II, 15 oz. commercial grade vinyl. The map is attributed to Henricus Hondius and first appeared in the 1633 edition of the Mercator-Hondius atlas. It utilizes the revolutionary Mercator projection and shows the world in two hemispheres. This vibrant map is decorated with iconography representing the four elements (fire, air, water, and land), as well as with portraits of Julius Caesar, 2nd-century geographer Claudius Ptolemy, and the atlas's first two publishers: Mercator and Jodocus Hondius.
The map can take up to 10 days to be shipped, and it can only be shipped to the contiguous US.
